Professional Information
Dr. Sandy Brown has been a licensed OT since 1998. She is Board Certified in Pediatrics (BCP) through the AOTA and is also a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). She has specialized in pediatrics, however has worked in a variety of settings including home based, schools, private practice, residential facilities, outpatient clinics, and academia. She has also served as a center manager for a large outpatient rehabilitation clinic.
She received her PhD in Rehabilitation Science from the University of Florida in 2017 where she conducted research examining the impact of challenging behaviors on a child’s participation in therapy. Dr. Brown is a frequent invited speaker at conferences, academic institutions, and community events. Dr. Brown’s research interests include pediatric outcomes, quality of life, participation, knowledge translation, and clinical reasoning.
