About the Student Success Center

The Student Success Center was created in fall 2020 to build a meaningful and comprehensive student experience that enables increased student participation in High-Impact Educational Practices (HIPs) shown to be beneficial for students of all backgrounds.  This is accomplished by co-locating the Registrar’s Office and programs including internships, undergraduate research, study abroad, service learning, and Career Management on the first floor of the Howard Building.  Co-locating the CRC in the Student Success Center enables students to connect HIPs to the development of professional skills needed for graduate school or a career of their choice.

The synergy created by this consolidation will enhance the student experience by reducing bureaucracy and marry the relationship between course selection, co-curricular activities, and resume building.

The shared services model seeks to help students build their resumes through curricular, co- and extra-curricular experiences.  These operations can utilize each other’s strengths and come together to guide students through course selection, HIPs, professional development and graduation.
