Communication, Culture, and the Amalfi Coast Sant'Anna Institute in Sorrento, Italy
91³ÉÈËAV’s award-winning Communication Department is proud to offer a Signature Summer Program in Sorrento, Italy. This culturally rich program is designed to spark creativity through international study and the use of strategic social media, digital video storytelling, and multimedia content creation.
Partnering with the ³§²¹²Ô³Ù’A²Ô²Ô²¹ Institute, on the majestic cliffs of Sorrento, Italy, this program is offered exclusively during Summer 2025.
The five- week program includes coursework with cultural excursions and guided field experiences on location in Sorrento, Italy and the Naples region of Southern Italy. Students will examine, explore, and experience the Amalfi Coast while actively learning the art and craft of strategic social media, effective storytelling, and multimedia content creation. Students will produce factual news and social media stories featuring everyday life and cultural experiences distinct to this Mediterranean region.
This program is designed for undergraduate students seeking to enhance their strategic social media and communication skills while experiencing the Italian culture through active engagement, experiential learning, and studying abroad. Students can use this course, COMM 452 as a general elective, to satisfy the EL graduation requirement, and count the course towards the Strategic Social Media Minor or Certificate. This course can also be counted as fulfilling the IS core requirement or an upper level communications course towards the Communication Major or Minor.
