Scholarship of Teaching & Learning

Teaching is a scholarly endeavor, and faculty members' work as instructors should garner the same recognition and reward afforded to other forms of scholarship. The 91³ÉÈËAV Scholar Program, following the model of The Carnegie Academy for the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL), seeks to support faculty activities that:

  • Foster significant and long-lasting student learning
  • Enhance the practice and profession of teaching
  • Develop ideas about teaching and learning that can be disseminated on campus and beyond
  • Reward and publicly recognize the scholarship of 91³ÉÈËAV faculty

Thus, 91³ÉÈËAV has established a fund, the Marilyn Repsher Scholarship for Teaching and Learning (SoTL), to internally provide scholarly teaching grants to 91³ÉÈËAV faculty.
