According to the Occupational Outlook Handbook, published by the Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment of mental health counselors is projected to grow 23 percent from 2016 to 2026, much faster than the average for all occupations. Employment growth is expected as awareness of mental health counseling services increase and access to services are improved.

We take pride in preparing our students for employment in diverse settings through their 800-hour pre-Master鈥檚 clinical practicum and internship, which provides on-the-job training and experience at locations throughout Northeast Florida.

Our faculty work collaboratively with community partners and students to place them in agencies and organizations best suited to their particular interests and career goals.
